Every life is worth remembering, yet some are extraordinary enough to leave their mark on history and as such are celebrated throughout time. Our late King, His Imperial Majesty Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi Aryamehr Shahanshah of Iran is just such an icon and on Oct. 26th we commemorated and celebrated his life on the centenary of his birth. The Persian Palace Restaurant and Banquet hall, Toronto’s finest Persian venue represented the perfect place to hold such a gathering and display work of our very own to add to what was always going to be a special occasion.
100 memorable life photographs helped to define a life of leadership, strength and dignity, whilst our Pahlavi crown and other pieces gave a more intimate glimpse of the great man himself. Aside from that there were also live piano renditions, vocal performances and more traditional Iranian music against the backdrop to moving speeches by political activist such as Faramarz Pourtaheri, Yasamin Zand, Reza Moridi, Mohsen Zandieh and Kiani Concept’s founder and designer, Saman Taherpour.
